I appear to have become a regular at the Waterloo Krispy Kreme franchise. They greet me with genuine smiles, now. “The regular, sir?” This bodes poorly for my waistline.

LOST - The Synchronizing →
The rest of the internet was going crazy for this about a month ago, but I am nothing if not late to the party. If, like me, you’re recording the new season of Lost, but haven’t yet actually got around to watching any of it (or if you’re just waiting for the box set to come out), then you might find this video of the various occurences leading up to the crashing of Oceanic 815...

Jumper, in 41 words
Doug Liman directed The Bourne Identity, which is one of the best action films ever made. He also directed Mr. and Mrs. Smith, which is one of the worst films ever made. Jumper falls pretty much slap bang in the middle.

Eggs is the theme for the day! →
These HISTORICAL comics are quite hilarious, and also, HISTORICAL. And two of them are egg-related. How could I not link to them? (Via Neil Gaiman)

How to Poach an Egg
Okay kids. Today I am going to teach you how to poach an egg. I originally learnt this method from the totally puntastic b3ta newsletter, but it definitely isn’t well known enough, so I’m trying to spread the knowledge, itinerant preacher style! B3ta’s method is super easy, requires no swirling of the water, hence allowing you to cook multiple eggs at once, and ALSO means you...

There appears to be something wrong with my car. Whenever you take a sharp corner, it goes GRAAAUNK. And if you hit a bump it goes GRAAAAUNK and then the whole front end bounces up and down like you’re tearing around off-road. GRAAAAUNKboinkboinkboinkboink. It is a little disconcerting. It is only 3 years old. And also a week ago it was fine! Sabotage!

A Pretty Dadu Mobile
My phone doesn’t know the words daffy (It can only suggest daddy), daft (dadu), or daffodil (fadendik).

So, I’m planning to start every post here with the word, “So.” So far it is going well! Continuing with the classy graphical design image I’m trying to portray, Typesites is a new site showcasing website designs with interesting typography. Hot.

I'm on to you, Apple!
So, the very evening after I publish my rant about Apple killing my iPod in order to tempt me into buying a new and expensive iPod touch like some kind of digital media SIREN, my iPod finally exhausts itself with its continual rebooting and begs to be plugged into iTunes to recharge its weary battery, whereupon it magically heals itself. And I’m expected to believe that you’re not...

Sinister Apple Plot to Promote iPod Upgrades?
So yesterday Apple released a new version of the iPod touch. It has a whopping 32GB hard drive and, at least here in the UK, a correspondingly whopping price tag. (£329 vs $499 in the US. That’s a £80 difference! Are you kidding me?!) Anyhow. Yes. Very tempting. All very well and good. UNTIL. Yesterday evening I plugged my iPod classic into my computer only to be told “iTunes has...

Geometry of the Mint logo →
Okay, so let’s get crackerlacking! I’m going to start with a bit of a classy one to make you think I’m all sophisticated and whatnot. Have a quick gander at the logo on the website for the Mint tracking/analytics program: It’s a nice, simple design, for a nice simple service. (From what I’ve heard! Never tried it myself!) But the cool part is the way it was...
