The delicious, red “accessory fruit” at the top is called a cashew apple.

Botanically speaking the actual fruit of the cashew tree is the pod beneath, wherein lives the cashew nut, which, botannically speaking is a seed. Crazy botanists!
The cashew apple is also edible, but you’ve never had one because they don’t keep (or travel) so good.
Unlike the overly-jazzy peanut, your average cashew prefers to keep it casual in maybe a button-down shirt and chinos.
