Mark Swarf Calape Hat Tricks Showreel
A few years ago I saw this dance and choreography showreel of Mark ‘Swarf’ Calape1 on a friend’s wall on Facebook. The whole video is worth a watch, but the section that starts at 1m28s was something I’d never seen before, and it’s stuck in my mind ever since.
The other day I decided to try and hunt out the clip, and found the video above. Looks like he’s been practising.

A couple of years later, Calape featured as a contestant on the first UK series of So You Think You Can Dance, but they didn’t use his “Swarf” nickname, and I don’t think they ever showed any footage of him doing hat tricks, so I didn’t even realise it was him. ↩
