Sinister Apple Plot to Promote iPod Upgrades?
So yesterday Apple released a new version of the iPod touch. It has a whopping 32GB hard drive and, at least here in the UK, a correspondingly whopping price tag. (£329 vs $499 in the US. That’s a £80 difference! Are you kidding me?!)
Anyhow. Yes. Very tempting. All very well and good.
UNTIL. Yesterday evening I plugged my iPod classic into my computer only to be told “iTunes has detected that this iPod has become corrupted. Please select Restore to attempt to fix, or try unplugging and replugging it in.”
So I tried unplugging it, whereupon the iPod swiftly rebooted, switched itself off, rebooted, switched itself off, rebooted, switched itself off…
There seems to be no cure.
Okay. So Apple release a new iPod and COINCIDENTALLY the very next time I sync with iTunes my 3-month-old iPod kicks the bucket?
Yeah, right.
Still, that 32GB iPod touch looks pretty snazzy eh? It’s an ideal excuse for me to buy one!
You can’t libel a company, right? Right? Please don’t sue me.
